Privacy notice

What this site is

Zabuni Radar lists public tender notices collected from the websites of procuring organisations and tells you where to find the original. Browsing and searching need no account and set no tracking cookies.

What we collect, and why

• Email alerts: your email address, your county and category choices, and the time you agreed. Used only to send the alerts you asked for and to confirm your address. Basis: your consent.
• Listing a tender: the notice details you enter, and a contact email for the moderator. The contact email is never shown publicly. Basis: your request to list.
• Payments and donations: processed by Paystack. We keep the payment reference, amount, status and the subscriber or listing it relates to (donations are not linked to any account, and the email you enter goes to Paystack for your receipt, not to us). We never see or store your card number or M-Pesa PIN.
• Abuse prevention: a one-way hash of your internet address when you sign up or submit, kept for about two days to limit repeated requests. It cannot be turned back into your address.

Who else handles data

Hosting and database (Vercel, Neon), email delivery (Resend) and payments (Paystack). They process data only to provide those services.

Cookies

None for visitors. A session cookie is set only when a moderator signs in.

How long we keep it

Alert subscriptions are kept while active. If you unsubscribe we keep the address, marked as unsubscribed, only so we never email you again, and delete it on request. Payment records are kept for accounting.

Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Use the contact details of the site operator. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Tender information

Notices come from public sources. They may name organisations but we do not collect officers' personal contact details.
